phillip litka –
love this radio! i went from a Futaba T8J to this 14SG and wow what a difference in my flying. With duel ball bearing gambles you realize how little effort you need to control your craft! my T8J was good don’t get me wrong, great radio BUT its not a 14SG! and take it from my experience (I’m a sport pilot) I have been flying since 2008 and had my T8J up till recent 2021 and its served its purpose but the amount of quality of this 14SG is on a next level.
at the price point this radio is set at you get a slue of goodies and the best part is, is its S-FHSS compatible as well as FASST and of course FASSTest ( i may be missing a fe but its compatible with most receivers)
Anyway; this is a honest opinion and I totally dig my 14SG. Im not sponsored or anything i just Love Futaba and its been a brand that my dad used from when he started flying in the late 70″s so Futaba is a proven platform.

I don’t trust anything else. I have been flying as a professional drone pilot in the film and television industry since 2012. Its never once failed me.
The Discovery Channel N.W. R/C Build Team –
We build and fly TV Show and Premiere Movie RC aircraft. All scale giant scratch built planes from WWII era to every kind of Jet. These planes cost well over $5,000.00 just to build so reliable radio’s and receivers are a must. We only use the 16IZ and the 14SG’s for bench setup and initial flight testing before we turn them over to the client. This 14SG, minus the 16IZ color screen is one of the most reliable radio’s we have ever used. The range is outstanding and the choice of many different brand FASSTest receivers makes both models this and the 16IZ our only choices from Futaba! Even though it’s an older radio it’s still one of the very best ever produced!
If you are lucky enough, you can still find one’s on eBay in brand new condition!
