great radio! if you’re a Pinch flyer then this radio is especially FOR YOU (; its a smaller radio then the Spectrum DX series and Really small to the NX series radios (i have a DX8 2nd Gen) and I prefer the feel of my futaba over that radio. Get a T8J and you wont look back! my club i fly at primally uses spectrum and to try to get into a spectrum myself i just had a hard time to adjust, the whole “scroll wheel, push thing” nah! wasn’t for me i prefer a more intuitive way to navigate with a joy stick like the T8J “jog-key” was simpler.
Receivers are not that expensive either $40 for 6 channel and $55 for 8 channel, its also capable to bind to FHSS and S-FHSS. I can go on and on about the feel and capabilities of this radio, but take it from me! for a Company that has made bad A$$ radios since 1969 why would you trust anything else?? my Dad has one from the 70’s and STILL WORKS. (put that in your pipe and smoke it LOL) but hay I’m only a User of these fine products, Im not paid by Futaba to write this. These are my expertises and my opinion.
So for the price you get a very good radio that will take you a long ways in you’r journey!
